Modular Trailer

I'm in need of "4" trailers:

1) General utility trailer as my truck is capped.

2) Hauling 2 GS motorcycles from SoCal to 2nd home in Colorado.

3) Camping off road. (We use a ground tent)

4) Protected storage for light construction too if I don't retire in the next year. Speciality builder. Bath, kitchens, bars, furniture kind of stuff.

Since owning 4 separate speciality trailers is silly, I've been trying to find a "base" that will work for attaching different modules and frames on per function. I have a lot of specialty fabrication experience but not a lot of time right now. I can't for the life of me find a decent modular trailer setup system. I spoke with a few off road trailer shops but no one offers something like I need.

Does such a trailer exist, or more likely, am I better off to buy a decent base and start fabricating there? Or design/build my own base? I don't have trailer platform design experience so that's not ideal. What are most guys doing for a frame and axle to build on?

Thanks for any feedback.

I have a 14x7 tandem enclosed with barn doors we use for hauling ATV and motorcycles in addition to hauling jobsite materials...and hammocks inside when the kids go with us camping (5 kids)

I put a 200watt solar setup with a 100ahu battery and 800watt inverter to run fans tools and chargers..a small sliding window lets in light and some LED strip lights for illumination...

not sure its offroad friendly..but its an awsome basecamp..

The closest I've seen is somewhere on this site, but it was a DIY unit, and only covered 2 bases. It was a flatbed utility trailer with short side rails and the owner made a slide in camper box. My guess is you're on your own, or have it special built.

SylvanSport GO. Out the door, it does the first three in spades.

You would have to mod a box for protected storage. The 4 pillars on the corners of the trailer have T-slots so connection could be simple and very secure.

While the SylvanSport Go is a pretty cool trailer, it cannot handle the weight of 2 full size adventure bikes (564lb each). If it where me I would go out and buy a M1101 the bed is 86" deep so you wouldn't be able to close the tailgate unless you put a notch in it but sine there are tie down points in the bed the bikes are going anywhere as long as you strap them down. The M1101 trailer you can pickup for anywhere between $500 and $1500. Find a cheap bed cap that you can put in the bed for secured storage when you need it. After all is said and done you will have around 3k in the trailer.

I've got a Jumping Jack that I put dirtbikes on top of and while it could handle the weight of the GS's I would definitely not want to ride them up the ramp to geth them there. I'd be totally fine riding them up a much shorter ramp to put them in the bed if it were unloaded (no tent) though it might be a slightly tight squeeze since you can't exactly muscle a GS around to get perfect after the fact placement like a 2 stroke dirtbike.
