Fitted it up today (supposedly the new version) to make sure it all worked ok before we head out on our next trip. First impressions are.. Very easy to setup!, just slide the fitted section of 'tent' through the aluminum channel and your basically done. Would be cool if it had a screened in door, but hey.. it's still better than nothing and i can't see us spending to much time in it anyways... after all , it's for 'changing'.

Comes with some stakes so you can stake it down. Has 2 windows and some weird straps i need to figure out. All in all, i think it's a great product and we can't wait to try it on our next trip.

I looked at one at Toyota of Dallas last week. Allthough I have not seen an Eezi Awn up close this seems to be a jam up deal. I am considering getting one. Have you gave it the rain test. This would be the main factor i would worry about.

My wife, son, and myself camped on Fathers Day weekend in the rain. It rained non-stop from the time we pulled into camp until the next morning when we were out of the mountains. We were dry all night. I don't trust it like my Mountain Hardware Trango 3.1 mountaineering tent, but I was surprised at how well it kept us dry. There was a fair amount of condensation on the inside from 3 adults and not enough windows open but no leaks. The seams appear to have holes where the stitching is, but unless you got hit with a strong sideways rain the sides don't get too wet (the awnings stick out a ways). I also plan to seam seal the tent just in case.

You can't beat them for the money. Mine's been up top since April. I've had it up in thunderstorms that dumped bucket rain with 40+ mph winds. Stayed dry. I have had mine opened to the front, side and now the rear. Pretty cool. Overland Journal has one now they're giving a go. :camping:
