Had the opportunity to do a run to Monte Cristo Mts. NV Was going to be a one night stop and then on to another area. Too much to see so ended up spending two nights there. Spooked up about a dozen Big Horn that later showed for an great visit silhouetted along the ridge at sunset.

Wife was happy about the new camper especially the furnace and the fact she no longer has to use the "throne room" (aka potty tent) we used with the FWC and FlipPac. Looks like she will be more enthusiastic about camping with this new "plush" popup. One of the roads in the amphitheater had been washed out (and in!) which resulted in about a quarter mile of a white knuckled pants puckering ride through deep sand with no way around. Fortunately we were able find a spot to turn around and going out was down hill. Opted to stay on the main road (yawn..) to find a nice place to camp. Nice geologic cache there with info on the rocks etc. That is snow on the far mountain range so guess we will be doing a bit of winterizing this week.
