I put my ARB fridge right behind the front passenger seat in my 99 xtra cab taco. Been running it that way for years. I use the rear seat belt and one ratchet strap to secure it. I pulled wire direct from the battery to power it up so the ignition does not have to be on and have never had a dead battery even after 48 hours (just one battery).
My ARB is over 10 years old, and does not have the ability to turn itself off at user selected voltage levels like the current ones have.
