Some of you may already know...but I sure didn't
I purchased Surco's PN #TR100 adapter kit to mount a roof rack and behold! 96-02 had secret mounting holes! The holes uses a 6mmx25mm bolt and not supplied in Surco's kit. Who knew!
There are 6 mounting locations total on your gutterless roof. A pair directly over the front drv/psg section, and pair mid-way above the "oh sheet" bars, and finally a pair above the cargo area. Use a chisel to remove the vinyl tape Isuzu used to cover up the holes, order yourself a set of Surco's TR100, buy some bolts, and you're all set!
PS: Make sure you use a blade to cut away some of the bonding putter they use to bond the rain gutter, otherwise your bracket will not be flat w/ the mounting screw.
Ha! I guess lots of you already know about the mounting holes in the roof. Well, Surco still sells them for about $45-50 a set PN #TR100.
