Mounting ideas for CVT MT Bachelor Summit Extended

I just bought a CVT MT Bachelor Summit Extended. Much of the reported weight is the zip on room which I likely wouldnt used. Still the RTT is heavier and a bit taller than my previous RTTs

With my low profile rack it was a pain to mount. Lifting on and off the truck won't be an issue because I have a RACOR Ceiling lift system and it still clears my 8ft garage doors by 1 inch

My rack has a grid system under the bars and I will cut some of those out of the way. I will also get shorter bolts to make it easier. The Nyloc Nuts make it so you can't hand tighten before putting a wrench on it. My other RTT doesnt have Nylocs, would those be needed with the extra weight and size of this tent

I also am going to see if I can move the mounting rails out a bit to make it easier to reach from the edge.

Are there other things I can do to make the mounting bolts easier?

This is the biggest issue using low profile racks , especially if you have big hands. Try using regular nuts to spin into place and tighten to get the whole RTT secure then use nylocks to secure the other nuts in place. Short bolts help big time. If you skip nylocks and don't use spring washers or some other method of locking the nuts you are asking for trouble. Good luck.

Thanks. I stuck with the Nylocs for safety and went to shorter bolts. It should be easier next time I install it on the truck
