Mt Washington NH (White Mountains, Tuckerman Ravine trail). Experience in late Sept?

I'm planning on tackling Mt Washington on 9/27, Saturday or possibly Sunday via the Tuckerman Ravine trail from Pinkham Notch. Anyone have any experience at this time of the year as far as traffic on mountain and terrain conditions other than the unpredictable weather the mountain serves?

It should be a beautiful weekend up there. Count on a bunch of hikers and leaf peepers. The PN parking lot will probably fill up. Bring a pack with winter gear (hat, good gloves, shell, down/fleece layers) as it'll feel cold up there. Be prepared for icy sections if you get an early start and bring headlamps as the sun is setting much earlier.

I forgot to report back.

The 9/27/14 trip had sunny skies, visibility was clear, and was 60-65F at summit. It was a great hike.

Also just did a 8/8/15 using same route and was same conditions and 50F at summit. I lucked out both times.
