Toasty
Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I really don't know how i manage but i do clean my garage somewhat regularly, in fact i cleaned it 2 weeks ago before i pulled Kevin's Montero back in the garage. It looks like it has years of mess accumulated everywhere and i haven't even lived in my new house a year. Anyway somehow i do projects like crazy and things don't sit around very long at all (see my build thread) maybe i need to hire someone to organize my stuff? I also thought if i posted up my mess online maybe it would motivate me to make it more presentable. Or not. I don't know yet.
On the plus side these pics make for good "I SPY" challenges
Find: Gen 2 Euro taillight, Gen 2 AUS taillight, Pajero Evo Grill, Gen 3 L200 base model grill, Gen 1 L200 Grill, ASCO hubs and the gimmie is the Starwagon.
So here's the new front axle for my '99 Montero V45W, I just finished it last week and put the locking hubs on yesterday. Still it's somehow buried like it's been there for a long time.
Kevin's SAS'd 3.5 DOHC swapped 1988 Montero with NP231/D20 transfer case setup. Again i've had it for about a month and i pulled it out of the garage the weekend before last to do my timing belt on my '99 and there is a ton of stuff under it already.
The truck barely fits in the garage with those 30" tires on. This thing is quite the monster and with the 3.5 DOHC swapped in it is silly fast even on 35" tires out on the road.
It's hard to tell from the dark pics but here is the dual T-case setup (if you know what you're looking at they're OK). The trans mount has been changed and the second case has it's own mount behind the front output (because heaps of torque). The SAS required the trans crossmember to be modified as well to clear the front driveshaft.
