My, probably not an expo trailer thread

So I've been casually looking around for a small trailer to use around the house as well as haul stuff on trips. I looked at a couple M416's, a Sankey and some home made contraptions. I came across this on Craigslist. It's a Bantam T3 delivered to the military 3-28-1945. Frame is solid, axle and hubs are good, landing leg, pintle mount casting are good. Tub needs some work though. Looks to have the typical civilian type mods done to it after being released from service. Pintle eye cut off and a ball hitch welded on, tailgate "hacked" into it (poorly done too!), civi 1 piece wheels and generic lights added. The seller threw in an M100 pintle and the original tail lights!
If it weren't a WWII relic I probably would have passed on it but I'm a sucker for this stuff! So $300 got me this beauty.
Just what I needed, another project. It'll have to get in line.....

You've got your work cut out for you. Cool little trailer but looks like lots of work. But I guess if you're just hauling stuff around the house it'll work just fine. For $300 that's not bad I guess.

I remember when I had more time than money.

I turned a rusted out beat up old pickup into a show stopper.

Took a lot of heat for it, but, it was all I could get at the time.

Only took me 12 years of limited spare time to completely rebuild the entire truck from the ground up.

Here's to hoping you don't need 12 years.:Wow1:

Do your best and stay with it.

BTY, I ended up replaceing the rusted out bed in the ol pickup, because it was just too gone to bring back from the dead. A good thing, I wished I'd known from the start.

Thanks for the encouraging words Curtis. I've had a Range Rover Classic that I've been doing rust repair on and off for 3 years now. These trailers really are very simple and don't pose much of a challenge as they are nice straight panels to repair. The challenge is finding the time. Can only work on one thing at a time!
