My new sliders are great!!!:buttrock: BLACKFOOT CUSTOMS has built me an awsome set of sliders! They are stout as can be!! Frame mounted and well built!
I can't wait to go test them on the trails, I have seen his other ones take some serious abuse and never falter! Here are some pics!

They work very well here in Oz the Land Rover many members of AURLO make them for themselves. We have some versions with pipe on the side which are a very good idea because are good foot steps and protecting the side panels.
Have a look in http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-tutorials/45037-defender-side-steps-sliders-pinch.html
and here is the version with the pipes

This is my 2nd set, I tried the sill mounted ones before.. and my doors are bent up from those, now these are frame mounted and I am not worried at all!

Yes I know that problem with some sliders, the best is mounting them on the chassis members like in the images of the Defenders in AURLO
By the way, I like your rig and the job looks very well done.
Cheers

Looks nice - are they bolted to your frame or welded? A picture of the frame mounts would be cool to see :26_7_2:

You have a rear bumper in the works as well? Very nice Rover!

I am the builder of Blackfoot Customs. And no i Don't have a website, pretty much just word of mouth. My whole goal with these sliders was to make something that wasn't body mounted and could take the abuse of the rocks here in colo. This is now my 6th or 7th set and none have failed. (though not to say some didn't try...)

a vid of a DI landing on them...

Cool, I may look you up when I go for sliders. I'd prefer frame mount to sill.
