My Toyota HDJ80 "Copito"

Hello,

Just wanted to show you the reason for selling my '94 Toyota 4Runner 3.0TD SASed w/35's, lockers, etc.

Thats my '93 Toyota Land Cruiser HDJ80 4.2TD. It's a 12 valve, so 1HD-T engine, but for me the best version, one of the lasts 12v, so it has the bigger brakes, ABS, etc. (It's like a FZJ except for the dash and the airbags).

We name it "Copito" that means "Flake", it's white like a snow flake hehe

It has an OEM snorkel, Webasto ThermoTop C heater, leather, sunroof, the three lockers, caster kit, steering damper, lifted and 285's.

Since I have it I've done it CDL switch, 7-pin mod, a complete axle rebuilt with some reinforcements:

Replaced the big end bearings, a common problem with those. They were very bad but the crankshaft and piston rods where in mint condition. I put the ACL ones and obviously new oil filter and Mobil 10W40 oil.

Also installed my Clarion head unit (I'll put the rest of my car audio system in a future) and mi TTI CB transceiver.

Used an old mobile phone antenna hole to put the aerial

Then I bought a 40l compressor fridge, as I hadn't any place to secure it I had an excuse to build my drawer system...

Plenty space to put the 3rd battery, tool box and compressor.

_MG_6950.jpg

Used some European boxes, 2+2 on the left and center spaces and one bigget but lower on the right side.

_MG_6977.jpg

Added some hinges to the boxes

_MG_6979.jpg

Did the left side cover

_MG_7019.jpg

_MG_7021.jpg

Put some stailess steel awning hinges

_MG_7020.jpg

And some locks to keep the boxes in place

_MG_7022.jpg

_MG_7023.jpg

Right side space is being left with no cover so I can keep my foldable chairs there

_MG_7024.jpg

If you were wondering, the thing above the taller boxes is a foldable camp table.

Now I've to put some alu corner profiles, build a cargo barrier and a fridge slide.

I also build a Beta version of a dash device holder. Next one will be with bends so it follows the dash shape. I use a RAM mount motorbike 1'' support to hold my Garmin 276c.

My next move is a Maggiolina Airlander RTT and a 2.5m awning. I've also to cut the skid plates like the ones I designed for a customer:

And weld some steering box area reinforcements like the one I did for my customer:

Hope you like it!

Couple more updates. I ordered a set of braided SS brake lines, Goodridge brand:

And also upgraded the shock absorvers. I chose the big bored Tough Dog Ralph. Those are 53mm bore and 22mm rod. They're massive!

Personally, I think the build would be much better if using Mahou instead of Alhambra.

:D .

De broma, por supuesto :D . Felicidades por un proyecto bien hecho :victory: .
