My yellow Jeep LJ build up

I finally got back into a jeep and I could not be more excited about it. I set my mind up on what I wanted and found a good start. 2006 Jeep LJ Rubicon, D44 front and rear, air lockers front and rear. I was not really looking for yellow but... I wanted a soft top with full doors. I also wanted as small a lift to fit 33 tires. At first I was going to run 255/75r16 but the jeep came with 285/75r16 so I used the best one for the space and bought 4 new Goodyear mtr tires. It already has a 2" lift but I am going to add a 1" body lift so that I can do a 1" motor lift and belly up skid. I have cut down the front bumper and installed a winch for now. I think I will be going with the ARB front bumper. Still need to do some research but Id like to get some nice lights for the front. I bought a tire carrier but still want to add a rack above the spare tire and jerry cans or rotopax for water. Also just added an air compressor. We will be using it mostly for weekend camping/traveling trips and to haul out bikes to the trails. This will also be my daily driver.

Went down a few trails along the river just to test everything out.

This is what it looked like when I bought it and had new tires put on.

awesome looking rig. yeah she needs another little boost up to fit the tires properly. But it looks awesome. and the yellow is sweet. Jeeps are supposed to be bright colors. The past couple of years have been boring for jeeps. these tan, green and grey colors. They are bringing back some awesome colors now.

I have a M.O.R.E 1" body lift sitting here waiting to be installed. I just have to order the Motor lift so I can do them together.

I was able to add the daystar dash piece to make it alittle more useable.

After I installed my tire carrier I lost my 3rd brake light. I dont know if by law you have to have it or what but I put it back on and added an extra 2" LED. I did my best to get a photo but the dark and cold made it alittle hard to stand still.

Looks good. I am near STL also and was looking for an LJ and wasn't sure about yellow either, but seeing your pics, I like the yellow just fine...
I ended up with a non Rubicon version in red. Just out of curiosity, which town did yours come from? I saw a yellow one on CL in COMO after I bought mine that looked like a great deal.

I looked at three LJ's two were yellow and one was red. I was going to buy the red one but something was just alittle off with the seller I never even went to look at it after that. I bought this yellow one from a man on the Illinois side of the river. My buddy and his wife went and bought the red one from Ofallon Mo. Unfortunately this was his fist jeep and the guy took advantage of him. The red jeep has been in the shop since they bought it with rear end problems.

When we first brought them home.

I'm looking to replace the useless stock fog lights to something a little brighter. I like the round light look and 6''-9'' in size. I don't really need light far off. As most of our driving is woodland around here. Maybe something along the lines of Hella 500ff/700ff driving light or maybe these ARB clones. Does anyone have any suggetions?

It was rather cold here today @ 6 degrees but I really wanted to get my front axle pinion angle fixxed. It wasnt bad but I thought it could be better. I had ordered some cam bolts for the lower control arms and they just came in.

With the cold weather I wrapped the bottom of the jeep with tarps and put a small heater under there.

I have found my stock fog light to be almost useless. I've been looking to upgrade but have not made up my mind on what to get. Anyway I bought some aftermarket bulbs that clam to be brighter. As I went to change the bulbs I noticed they say Hella on the lens. After alittle research I see theres are really hella 500 fog lights the jeep used in 2006. I hear good stuff about hella but these are not that bright.
