I've been look at the eeziawn bat or manta, having a 80series with a rear gobi ladder on the rear hatch doesn't allow me to fit either one. Which I think. So been looking at the shift which looks nice and l like that it free stands. Would like to see what others think to make up my mind already.

We've had a good discussion here that may help:

That's in the Awning sub-forum, so poke around there, too.

I wonder if you couldn't just mount the awning a little more aft so that the rearmost arm has enough clearance. As long as that arm has enough range of motion to fully rotate and draw the fabric taut, I don't see a problem past a bit of a rear gap, and the stowed awning poking to the rear a few inches. I'd check with a manufacturer before ordering, but I think I'm seeing that right.

I have an 80 as well but don't have a ladder but do have the rear spoiler. Your ladder does end up quite high when the hatch is open but i don't see it being a problem. Regardless of what awning you go with, at the end, some creativity will be required for the mounting solution. I'm using simple L brackets that are bolted to the Thule load bars. This allowed me set the height of the Batwing wherever I need in the vertical Y axis and you should be able to do the same using either L brackets or perhaps some other off the shelf products. I have a feeling that off the shelf awning mounting solutions may not allow you the ability to mount the awning as high as you need to. It looks like you have the Prinsu rack and I think that's a good foundation for a set of custom DIY brackets, if you're so inclined.

Let me know if this is confusing and I'll take pics of my setup to help you visualize better. Attached is a pic of the L bracket bolted to a Thule bar.
