Need help with Toyota HZJ78 Diesel motor near Seattle/Tacoma ASAP!

2006 Toyota HZJ78 Diesel stored at our shop in Gig Harbor WA - for 3 months.

Owner has returned from France to retrieve the vehicle and the motor is not starting - any Toyota Diesel guys in the Seattle area that can help out?

Basics are all there, it turns-over but will not fire. Fuel into the injector pump is good, fuel at the injectors, fuel is clean and good, but no firing.

Direct help or leads to a shop who has experience with the Toyota diesel is appreciated as the owner is keen to get it running and into a container for the next leg of his RTW trek.

Fortunately with significant cleaning and purging of all the major systems I was able to get the truck up and running this afternoon - likely culprit was air trapped in the fuel lines dropping pressure at the injectors…

Thank you to all who emailed or called with help - the traveler is elated and relieved that he can proceed as planned

Check that fuel is getting to the cylinders between pump and cylinders. Depending on the temps and grade of diesel, lines may be corroded/clogged. If your getting fuel to the cylinders, check the timing on the pump. If everything else checks out, try holding something over the tail pipe while your starting, it can help with bad compression especially in cold temps. Hope it helps!
