Need recomendations for a new ski rack

My old Mopar Accessories Rack for my Jeep Wrangler TJ has seen better days and I am now looking for a reciever hitch mounted version.

For a rack to be considered, I would like to get it off my spare tire carrier and mounted using the reciever hitch on my bumper, it would also need to clear my 35x12.50/15 spare and finally it needs to accomodate my fat skis (102mm waist). I have a set of new fat skis with the bindings on a riser plate and the Mopar rack will not accomodate them as it did with my previous fatties (98mm no riser plate).

Input from those of you that are serious skiers with experience on using a rack is appreciated. Thanx.

I would stay away from a rear mounted ski rack. The road salt, dirt, mud etc finds its way into the bindings, covering your skis with with all that grim.
Put them on the roof or inside.

I agree, put it on the roof. and I am an avid supporter of yakima, my rack has held up to everything i've been able to throw at it, and i'm not easy on it either. look on craigslist, there are always people putting racks on there for great prices.

Skis do not fit inside a Jeep Wrangler and I have a soft top so a roof mounted rack is out. I'm not buying a congo cage or some such for roof mounting as I do not beleive in mounting anything up high on my Jeep which may disturb the COG balance.

Anyone else?
