New to me at least. I had been looking for a Land Rover Series, but they were all too far away or too much money. We out were looking for a car for my son, and the sellers of an Altima also had this for sale, so we made a package deal.

1986 two owner, 95,000 miles, all maintenance records since 1990 (36,000 miles).
22RE motor, 5 speed, factory air (not working), doesn't leak when the top is on, upholstery and carpets in good shape.
Does not overheat!
Southern New Mexico car since new. NO RUST! Well, some surface rust where the sun has fried the paint off, but nothing below the hood line.
Some minor dings, and the bumper ends are bent or gone. I pulled the apron off since it was all dinged up.

I figure the first thing to add is a winch.

I like the optional, fully-automated canine alarm and theft deterrent system mounted in the rear seat! :sombrero:
Nice truck!

She's a BEAUT mate!!!!! Good find. Honestly the FIRST thing I'd do to it would be to throw on an OME suspension and set of BJ spacers up front. The rear springs on these old sweethearts are apparently made of some extremely soft metal not suited to holding up a load for long... Translation: The OE leaves suck... The OME suspension will competely transform the truck IMO.

You got everything you need in her though, 22RE, 5SPD, Air (when you get yours working it does a pretty good job of cooling down the truck) and a non-leaking top...

What interior trim level do you have? Tall center console, Tach, rear passenger "arm-rests/cubby's ETC. ??? That's the only thing I don't like about my truck, I wish I'd have found one with the SR5 trim because the center console is better IMO and I've got no tach and a bunch of "idiot Lights" instead of guages... Some designer somewhere should be shot for that one...

Anyway, Nice truck, you'll love it. I think they're alot of fun to putter around in and they're like tractors off-road, the W/B is perfect for me here in the NW. They're certainly not FAST but hey they're tall, off-road worthy 4wd's, Fast isn't nessiscarily a good thing eh ;)

Cheers

Don't know the trim level. Probably the base truck. It has a center console, cloth seats, temperature gauge, gas gauge, speedometer. Everything else is an idiot light.
Manual windows, cruise control (don't know if it works yet).
No goodies for the back seat.
Still has the original jack and tools, and the owners manual.

Worst thing on the truck is I always knock the windshield wiper switch on when I put the key in.

The ride is a bit stiff :)

Good looking rig. Refreshed suspension and a simple locker at least in the rear, and that truck will climb just about anything you aim it at. If you run into any technical trouble, hit up the crew over on yotatech.com. It is FILLED with people with that generation of truck (myself included) who would be able to answer most questions.
