Hello everyone.. I am new to the site. I am in the Army and currently serving in Iraq but looking forward to doing some traveling when I return. I am stationed in Ft. Campbell, KY. I want to go out and visit the mountains in Eastern Tennessee. It is beautiful country. I was previously stationed in Colorado so I miss the mountains.

I LOVE my Frontier and my wife has an 06 Pathfinder. I am currently looking for a RTT but I am wondering if it could be mounted on a Frontier CC with an aftermarket (Thule) roof rack.

Welcome. Great to have a new face here. :coffeedrink:

The RTT should be able to fit easily on the CC with Thule bars. The only question is the load rating for the mounts for the Thule on your truck. Just remember that the tents aren't the lightest and that you and your wife will be sleeping in it too. The more load bars you run the more the weight is dispersed should your mounts be an issue. Other options include after market HD racks (Confer, etc.). You could actually cut a side bar off of Confer and hold the tent inside the confer and still be able to open it. I know that gillti is selling a Autohome Overland 1.3. I think he is looking for $1000 for it, which is a great price.

Here is a link to his tent.

Welcome to ExPo and thanks for your service.

There should be a variety of rack options for an RTT on the Frontier from Thule to Surco to ARB. I personally am a big fan of the Surco product as it's aluminum, very lightweight yet strong and durable.

Good luck and don't forget to post up pics when you decide on one! :smiley_drive:

I was thinking I might just two extra bars (for a total of 4) and then that should hold the weight. I hope..
