I just joined the site, I have just bought a 87 Cruiser and I am sure once I get it I will have lots questions for you guys. I am new to land cruisers, but not to Toyota trucks, I have had a 85, 96, 04 pickups before. I live in the rust belt, so not sure I will be using it in the winter, there is minor surface rust behind drivers wheel on the bottom from rock chips, but that is the first thing I will fixing, anybody else on here from MI with tips on what I do short of garaging it all winter for protection?

welcome to the site, now add some pictures... Tell us a little about your future plans (mods) with the LC you just bought. I have always liked the look of a lifted 60s.

Plans are fix anything that need fixing, then think about OME lift, nothing to big, ARB bull bar, some lighting, winch?, I have plans, but now need the cash to do them. My 85 hilux and my 04 tundra lifts and other stuff came from Downey, who I don't think is around anymore? Will get some pics when I get the truck, it is out west at moms house right now, so need to go out there and make a cross country road trip to get it home, any tips or know any good people in Salt Lake to give it the once over and make sure it is road worthy for a 1700 mile drive?
