new to me 95' Skamper

Im new to this forum so bare with me while i learn how to work everything on here. but anyways i bought this camper for 300 dollars. The kicker is he didnt have the tool to raise the roof. so first question is could someone send me a link to the handle that is the right one for this camper. secound is how to upload pictures lol.

I think Skamper used a HECO lift. If so, the crank handle has a gear on the end. Look here, second row down on the right. If that isn't it, maybe one of the others will look right to you:

well i got the camper home and tryed to lift it with my ebay "HD" crank first spin every tooth broke off.... i dug around in the camper and found one that looked to be home made but the teeth on it have seen better days. anyways with three of us me cranking two people lifting we got the top up but it wasnt easy. what should i look for to find out if its binding or are all these campers that hard to raise up?

It's the roof air that's causing your issue getting the roof up. The roof on mine went up fairly easily, then I put t he roof air on it, it now requires an assist to get going. There is a sweet spot on the way up where the crank will take over and get it the rest of the way up on it's own. Mine is a Sun Lite, not a Skamper, but uses the same lift system.
