New Trailer, Please help!

Hello all, I've been browsing this wonderful forum in awe of all the great things you guys do. Specially the trailer forum, I got bit by the bug and decided to buy a platform I could build upon. I purchased a trailer form a guy in LA, it was formerly a Caltrans trailer with solar panels and batteries, needless to say when I purchased it, the panels and batteries were gone. I find that this will be a great base for the trailer I want to build.
So here is the problem, I am having a really hard time figuring out what size tires I can fit on this trailer with the size of rims and space I have to work with. The trailer originally came with 205 75 15s, and the size of the rims is 15x5, I want to put the tallest tire I can on the rim it came with, with no rubbing, the space between the rim mount and the trailer be is 5 and a half inches.

Define "tallest tire"? There's a great Super Swamper 34" x 9.5" "pizza cutter" tire that I had on my old Jeep aircraft tug, but they're bias plys and very aggressive tread. I believe, however, you can still get a 33" x 10.5" model from BFG (it's been a while since I looked, though). Is the rim size critical, or can you look at rims with different backspacing? What's the wheel bolt pattern?

Yeah thats what it was , a sign truck used by caltrans. What i meant by tallest is, that I want to get some height on the thing, and the tallest you go, the wider the tire gets. I would like to maybe put some military tires on it, but I cant find anybody local that sells them. I called Coker, and they quoted me a price, but the shipping charges are going to kill me. I think am going to go with some 30x9.5x15s, they should fit ok using the original rim. The wheel bolt pattern is 5x4.5.
