New Truck! What to do for Bed storage?

Well I just bought a new-to-me truck, an '06 F150 with a canopy. Now comes the dilemma, what should I do for storage in the bed? I don't think I want to do a drawer system like I did in my Tahoe. LINK This type of setup I pretty permanent and your option are kinda fixed.

I saw these bed slide-out things LINK and was thinking with one of them plus some pelican case and the dog kennel I would have lots of options and could still use the truck bed. With a 5.5' Bed I won't be sleeping in it like the Tahoe.
I would like to make one of these bed slide's but couldn't find anything on the slide design it's self. Any thoughts or a better idea would be much appreciated and if there’s a good home for the Tahoe storage drawer that would be great too.

I just finished mounting my bedslide and so far I LOVE it. I want to be very easy to change modes from hunting/camping/moving or just shopping. I paid $800 for mine and I think it will be very nice to load and unload the truck now.

I am in the middle of mounting all my recovery gear when I am done I will try to add some pictures.
