Night time ventilation

There’s nothing worse than sleeping in your vehicle with bugs flying around. Sleeping with the windows up doesn’t work either. I grabbed some gutter guards, no-see-um net, 3in 12 volt fans and my hot glue gun. I trimmed the gutter guard to fit my windows, installed the fans for exhaust then glued the net on. It worked perfectly down in Florida this past May.

Nice. Great idea.

By gutter guards...do you mean the material that they sell at stores like Home Depot, for you to put down over the rain gutters at the edge of your roof?

sure looks like it. Nice solution.

I used 1/8" pressboard for its workability and put an enamel paintjob on it when I was done

My next related mod is to add a hot wire and switch and isolate the factory power feed to the rear AC fan in my Suburban with a diode to prevent backfeeding, so I can just flip a switch and run the factory rear vent fan thru the factory ducting. That and a couple screen inserts for the windows and sunroof ought to work pretty well.
