Nissan Patrol GR Y61 RTA Ready to Adventure (from N.E. Italy)

Bye Enrico
Hallo to all ,
let me introduce myself my name is Enrico and I live in northeastern Italy in Vicenza.

I'm sorry but I do not speak English very well , but thanks to Google transalate I read a lot of your interesting forum (though often to smile for the translation English to Italian ).:sombrero::sombrero:

I'm building an RV based on a truck Iveco Eurocargo 4x4 here is the link http://www.expeditionportal.com/for...Iveco-Eurocargo-95e21ws-(from-Nord-Est-Italy)

but since I can not finish the project for the upcoming holidays and the desire for adventure is a lot I decided to sell my BMW 325i and replace it with a Nissan Patrol GR Y61 model Year 2002

I'll post some pictures :Wow1::Wow1: and specifications :Wow1::Wow1: of the car to read your comments

what do you think of the choice? I was undecided between Land Rover Defender 110 and Toyota HDJ 100 but both are too expensive here in Italy my Patrol instead in excellent condition and professionally trained, I paid "only" 13,500 Euros ....

Waiting for your views comments a warm greeting from Italy

Thank's Bushnut ...

.... Perfect ...

....but I'm drooling for Canada if I could would start tomorrow morning for your wonderful country ...

....then do it this way : you fly in Italy and drive my Patrol in the month of August and I fly into Canada and drive your 4x4 ..

.. do you agree? :smiley_drive::ylsmoke:

Two dreams realized by spending little money ...:victory:

Amen ... at the top of most of our lists, one presumes. Certainly at the top of mine.

Enrytre, I'm in love with those Y61 Patrols ... and it sure looks like you got a prime example with yours - I even like the color and modifications that have been done. I don't know the market for those vehicles where you are, and we never got them here in the US, so forgive me when I say that it sounds to me like you made out well getting yours for 13,500 Euro ... here, the only time we see any of the Patrols for sale, is usually after they've made it past the "25 Year Rule" - so, now, model year 1989 or older - and are readily importable; but since they were never sold here and are quite rare even if they have been imported easily/legally, they are often still more than 20 - 25 thousand USD (for good condition and low miles).

Nice truck. Nice to see another patrol on here. I'm in UK and slowly getting there. Can't beat the patrol in any way in my mind. Ticks every box for overland travel.
Here's mine

Thanks guys for the positive comments

In Italy, the Patrol is very common was a successful off-road and they are many.

The price of my without modifications be around 8,000 euros

Look 38" http://www.autoscout24.com/Details.aspx?id=226567742&cd=635355321730000000&asrc=st|fs

on my previous owner has spent about € 15,000 of changes and approvals I think I did a good deal 8,000 +15,000 = 23,000 Euros I have bought for 13,500

I tried looking for a Toyota HDJ 80 but they are hard to find and are very expensive and with half a million kilometers, a HDJ 100 but they are still expensive and with so much electronics ....

The Land Rover Defender 110 in addition to being expensive in Italy do not like my wife because is it not comfortable to use all day ...

I think the Patrol GR Y61 is a good compromise price / quality mechanical / comfort / look / space for 4, etc. etc.

only time will tell if I'm right

You gotta have dirty truck pics. Lol. That's a nice beast you've got. How much was the lift and where did you source it?

I'm not sure of your question Google translate tells me a strange thing?

if you mean how much high the trim is + 10 and the dampers are built craft not in large numbers.

great trucks, both of them. I still do not understand why Nissan decided against bringing the Patrol here in North America. I can't see how it won't be popular here in Canada...

Cheers

Very nice Patrol you have there. I look forward to seeing more pics and reading about your trips.

My brother lives in Milan, which is about 2 hours from your area. he works at the Ferrari plant doing a contract software maintenance job. I can't wait to visit Italia real soon.

You know I share the same idea with you. I believe the patrol will definitely be very popular here in North Armerica. I want that rugged look and love it. This is as close as I could get mine to look rugged.
