norcold Model MRFT questions

Hi all,

I have been looking for a deal on a portable fridge for an upcoming trip to Moab. I found a good deal on a used, but running norcold Model MRFT-660 but I cannot seem to find much info about them. I know its an older model and made in the same factory as Engel for that time period. Does anyone have any experience with them? How is the longevity? (I know parts are still somewhat available) What kind of power consumption am I looking at compared to say an Edgestar FP430 or something similar sized?

Thanks! Looks like the MRFT60/660 is similar to the Engel MT60 since they were at the time made in the same factory. So MT60 specs are what I looked up. I am picking up the fridge tonight, so I'll update later. It looks to be in good shape, but might need a once over and some touch up. Does anyone know the colors Engel uses on their fridges and if I can pick them up in spray form?



Edit: I did a quick rust removal/paint job with more modern colors. The body had some rust and dents from living on a sailboat. I sanded down the rust, sealed it, and painted it. Also replaced the hardware with stainless. Its not the best looking fridge out there but it should do. The PO of the fridge had painted it white at some point with little care about masking off the tub of the fridge so there is some white overspray on it. But for $160 I have into the project I am happy.

Anyone know where to order a carry handle for an Engel MT60 in the US? All I can find is Australian sites.
