nroute problems

so i down loaded nroute to the laptop and went drinving. no map appered on the screen. do i have to transfer maps from map source to nroute some how? its all on the same laptop. oh it was asking for a 25 charecter code(itrashed it b4 i knew what it was). any help would be great

Yes you need to select the map that loaded with map source. Once you do that it will work great. You will really like it over the old Mapsource way (if you had it).

Unfortunately my lap top just had the display go out or I would go look where you need to tell it where to source the map.

"Yes you need to select the map that loaded with map source" yeah how do i do that when i open nroute i get a white srceen with one vertical and one horizontal line intersecting in the middle. so i went to import on files thinking i could import from map quest , but no.

all i want to do is turn on the etrx and plug it to the lap to and put it on the dashthen i can watch my progress on the laptops larger screen
