O7 4runner Q's

A friend just aquired a 07 4runner 4wd, no lockers or diff lock, but it does have down hill assent control, and what I believe is stability control. While he was researching for some improved suspension, he was told by an installer here in Tucson that you can have problems with certain lifts and the stability control program. Is this really the case with the Donahoe coilovers? I have read quite a few posts from 4runner owners here, and don't recall seeing anything referring to this, but was curious what owners here have found. Any input would be greatl appreciated, Thanks

Normal lifts will not affect how the stability system finctions. Obviously lifting a vehicle changes it's center of gravity and may cause the vehivle to slide sooner and thus the stbaility control to kick in but it still works. A good site if toyota-4runner.org (or t4r.org). There are tons of lifted ones over there and great information. The 4Runner should have a center diff lock on it just not a rear anymore but it also has ATRC when in 4WD so they are very capable in stock form.

www.toyota120.com is by far the best site for the newest 4runner tech. People have been lifting them for years with no problems (3" or less). I have an OME kit that I love. Donahoe lifts are a step up and get great reviews.

4x4 4runners have a center diff lock and ATRAC (traction control), neither one is bothered by a mild lift.

good luck

Thanks for the replies, I was thinking it shouldn't really affect the systems to a noticable degree, but it never hurts to check.

He could be talking about the xreas. It doesn't hurt it so much as any lift would replace it. So if yours has the xreas suspension then you lift it you loose it. Go for it, Its not very special anywho
