Odyssey Seat Question

I've searched and can't find much. How does one go about fitting Honda Odyssey seats in a '98 Ford 350 Club Wagon? Give me a bike and I'm all over it. Auto wise, not very mechanical, trying to learn. How difficult is this conversion? Thanks in advance!

Its been a few years but I will try to help out. From memory I had to strip all the tracks etc off the Honda seats and make up an adapter frame using 1/4 flat bar welded up to match up to the ford holes. The other issue you need to sort is you have to use the Ford seatbelts. (well I had to on the 96 club wagon). They have an explosive tensioner built in. You can cut this off the existing mount and mount it to the Honda base using suitable HT bolts (I uses the original ford mounting bolts and welded the captive nut into the Honda base if I remember correctly).

You also have to be careful with the angle of the seat base. Mock it up before you get in too deep and check how comfortable it is. Mine used to sort of put pressure under the back of your legs all the time.

I think www.discountvantruck.com sell bases that would fit. Another alternating would be to checkout the ones UJoint sells for the Toyota seats to see if they could be used.

I just finished putting some odyssey seats in my 1996 ford van a few months ago. I ended up making a bracket that allowed me to use the ford factory floor bolts and to also accept the honda slider tracks onto the brackets. The driver side bracket was fairly simple since I didn't need to change the angle of the butt part, the bracket basically just brings the seat up to the right height. The passenger side got a universal swivel plate from discountvantruck (horrible buying experience) and I had to modify that a bit to make it work. Measuring everything was important for the swivel to be able to swivel and also because there's not a ton of adjustability in the odyssey seats. A bonus is that the tracks seem to be able to slide a lot farther than my old seats and are far more comfortable. I also like the popout cup holders and the rear pocket. I use the armrests less than I thought because they aren't quite adjustable enough for me. I just removed the honda seat belt receivers and kept all the ford belts in their original positions. Hope that helps.
