You may have seen my other threads, but in the interest of cleaning things up and getting all the products in one place... Here is a new official ad.
OFF-GRID ENGINEERING, LLC is a new venture dedicated to producing quality power systems for off-road and expedition vehicles. As of right now, I am a one man show, producing battery trays for Toyota Trucks and custom wiring kits for any vehicle. I do plan on offering battery trays for multiple makes and models eventually, so stay tuned.
My wiring kits feature components of the highest quality. I promise you will not find a more well made, complete kit anywhere. I can configure your system as a complete DIY, supplying you with all the components you need, or a 100% bolt in system that requires nothing but hand tools.
Our typical kits include:
-Blue Sea ML-ACR relay with custom harness pre-wired to an in-cab switch
-Premium, high strand count, super flexible, USA made, 2 AWG cables (can be upgraded to any gauge upon request)
-Cables are covered in Techflex braided wrap
-Cables are pre-terminated with aviation grade lugs and 3M marine grade, adhesive lined, heat shrink
-Mil-Spec terminals for both batteries
-Extra heat shrink, butt connectors, lugs, zip ties
Some optional accessories include:
-ANL fuse holders
-Blue Sea fuse boxes
-Custom cables for fuse boxes, inverters, winches, etc.
-Mostly anything you can imagine to complete a clean dual-battery install
Here are a few of the kits that have gone out the door in the last few weeks:
And here is the OGE staple... The passenger side battery tray being produced for the 2nd Gen Toyota Tacoma. These trays also fit the 3rd Gen Tacoma quite well although they were specifically tested in the 2nd Gen.
Our trays are cut via water-jet out of 1/4" 5052 Aluminum and then bent and TIG welded. They are shipped with all the necessary installation hardware.
They are designed to fit a Group 25, 35, and some 34 batteries. Odysseys work best but Optimas also fit.
We have matching trays for the driver's side that fit in a variety of vehicles, but once again, have only been tested in 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacomas. These trays provide a convenient place to mount your Blue Sea ML-ACR.
**All kits will have different amperage ratings depending on cable size and length. OFF-GRID ENGINEERING, LLC always recommends some sort of circuit protection for long runs of cable. Please make sure to do your research on how to properly set up your system. We can not be held liable for an improperly installed battery system**
