Oil Pump Question - 2000 Xterra

Hey All,

Was cruising down the highway yesterday at about 70 mph and the oil light flickered for a sec, then came on. The truck started running really rough, really noisy, sounded like loud ticking and slapping. I pulled over quickly and shut down the truck. I checked the oil level, which was fine. Sat and pondered for 5 minutes, then started it back up. Ran smooth, no more noise, no more oil light.

Drove home (about 20 minutes) with no more issues.

I assume this is an oil pump issue, or maybe a blockage somewhere?

Any thoughts before I take it to the shop for inspection? Run some Seafoam through the motor for a couple days?

Vehicle History:

Just bought it a month ago, with no maintenance history, completed in last 2 weeks:

Timing Belt, Water Pump, Tensioner
Both Valve Cover Gaskets
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Oil Change
Diff Fluid Change F/R

Thanks!
