I spent the afternoon down in Grass Valley, California with Seth Warren from Oil & Water http://www.nrpw.com/Oil_+_Water_Welcome!.html
He is having his WVO custom Toyota "Fire Engine" overhauled at 4X4 Labs. The area around the truck is a hive of activity with oil tanks being fabricated, the body of the vehicle being modified, for their next trip.
Luke Porter of 4X4 Labs has installed a six cylinder Toyota Diesel engine, rebuilt the original transmission and installed it in a Landcruiser casing, run all the fuel line in insulated sheaths with hot water pipes coming from the engine, and on and on.
Seth Warren, the mind behind the Oil & Water project, has organized an other epic trip this time through Mexico, the Western USA, and Canada. Like the last trip it will be educational, and recreational with a leaning towards paddling, surfing, hang gliding and skiing.
