Old pictures from Gran Sabana, Venezuela

Guys,

When I lived in Venezuela I used to go camping/wheeling at least once
a year to La Gran Sabana National Park. It's located in south eastern
Venezuela. Near the Brazilian/Guyanean border. The park has a surface
of over 7.4 million acres, making it the 4th largest in the world.
The pics that I've uploaded on my photo gallery where taken in a
period of 10 years starting in 1985. Please forgive the quality. They are
all negative scans and at the time when I scanned them, the scanner
was not super high quality. There were no consumer digital camera's back then.
The blue FJ40 and the white FJ60 where my vehicles on those trips.
First came the 40, then the 60.

Really great to see your photos from back then. So much water.
The amazing part is you haven't aged a bit in nearly twenty years :shakin:

Thanks for the responses. La Gran Sabana holds a special place in my heart. It's what defined what camping and being "out there" was about.

Pasquale,

I beg to differ. I think I look a little different today:

Mine pics are more recent......but the tracks have not changed much even over nearly 20 years..........

That gas station at KM 88...is almost unchanged.....only the kid that probably washed your windscreen is now a dad !
