Been seeing some interest and installs of these packs over on the TTORA Forums. Has anyone here looked into, or installed a set of these?

Why do you need a new leaf pack??

OME usually have 2-3 different load rated packs for each model, standard, medium and heavy duty.

If you get new rear springs you will also need matching shocks and it is advisable to level it off by upgrading the front suspension.$$$$$

Hi,

Well, little by little, I want to build my truck up for extended trips, which will include a lot more weight in items being carried. Also, I am planning on a new front bumper (ARB?)/winch. Seems the front will need an upgrade there to accomodate the added weight, i.e., Donahoe coilovers. Plus, a larger tire size. I don't know if the stock suspension is up to the task. It appears that people upgrading their trucks for expedition travel have beefed up the suspension by adding coilovers, rear leafs, i.e. Deavers or Alcans. Just in the planning stage and doing some research.

Thank you for your questions. It's good to think these things out.

I would use the med duty rear springs with matching shocks. You dont want the ride to be too hard unloaded or too soft when loaded that it sags in the tail, medium should be a good compromise.
You may have to extend the brake hoses and do something with the ABS wire aswell.
