One Month in Baja

My wife and I spent January 2021 in Baja. Our main focus was exploring the Pacific coast for uncrowded surf and secluded camping. We found what we were looking for ?
We also went whale watching for the first time in Ojo de Liebre and tried a new(to us) camping spot in Bahia Concepcion. It was an awesome trip and one of the best runs of swell I've experienced in Baja.

The search is half the fun! I wouldn't want to take that from anyone.

Hopefully you don't think I was too generous with the landmarks. I figured if you recognize any of the places, then you already know.

This right here. That's why I still use paper maps when I'm exploring and leave the gps off. Some of the wrong turns I've made have led to some of the best trips.

Nah, you did fine! I had to laugh though, one of your camp spots was about 150 meters north of the canyon I own. ?

Looks like you guys had one of those..."Legendary Baja Surf Trips"!

I've spent some time down there and I think this was the most swell I've had in one month. Definitely a good trip?

I've started using online surf maps and apps like Ioverlander to help me avoid places that have "pins"... for at least part of the trip anyway.

Spent about a month camping way around the peninsula in Jan... '97? Great place. Found a nicer spot between there and Loreto though.

'97... I was still driving down with my father, fishing in Los Barriles and tent camping on the east cape in the summer. He likes it HOT.?
I've had my eye on that area between conception and Loreto. Maybe next trip?
