Intech Flyer Explorer turned Into a Custom Motorcycle Hauler-Camper with Hot Shower, 28 gallons of Fresh water, and Bike Binderz Tie Downs and More!
This is a one-of-a-kind custom camper which started its life as an Intech Explorer. It has an insulated pop out for sleeping (full size bed), huge open cargo area for hauling motorcycles, bicycles or anything you want to bring with, additional drop down storage bins, an external kitchen with a two-burner gas stove and Dometic top load fridge, and large pantry storage.
We purchased this trailer from the original owner around 3 years ago. They never camped in it and only used it a handful of times to help with a move. The mattress was still in the factory plastic.
We’re a family of mechanics and fabricators so we went through and replaced/ fixed/ upgraded everything, even parts that might need replacement in the next few years so the trailer was pretty much brand new when we started to use it. We ever changed all the door handles and locks so one key opens everything instead of needing the 5+ original keys from Intech!
From there the entire electrical system was massively updated with a smart winter-heated lithium ion battery, DC to DC charger for 50 amp charging from the tow vehicle, 310 watts of solar, a digital controller with a touchscreen display to manage everything in the trailer and tons of lights inside and outside.
We then added a 28 gallon fresh water system including a DC water heater and external shower port for hot showers and washing dishes. This was a complete game changer for us to be able to be off grid for over a week and have daily hot showers.
The interior was set up with a flip up dinette, tons of cargo rails for securing anything, and two sets for motorcycle tie downs and two wheel chocks. These allow you to load two motorcycles in a few minutes without any tiedown straps and without compressing your front forks.
This is without doubt the nicest most set up, full featured Intech Flyer that we have seen anywhere. We have invested well over $15,000 in upgrades alone to make this one of the most amazing motorcycle trailers and bug-out campers anywhere.
It has always been stored inside since we purchased it.
