Opinions on this van?

Hey everyone, new to the site, still searching for the right vehicle. Came across this quadravan and checked it out last night. Needs some tlc, has some rust, shifts kinda hard, a little beat up, the pics from the ad make it look pretty cherry they must be old pics. He said that it has 65k on the odo but I know it's rolled over at least once. I know the 7.3 idi with the dana 60's is one ************ combo. But I don't think it's worth 13,000. What do you guys think?

If you are SURE it has rolled the odometer over and the seller is telling you it has not, then you can't trust anything about the seller or the van for that matter. Proceed w/ caution.

I think that is a bit high even if it only has 65k

I'm sure I'm pointing out the obvious, but that is not a Quadravan, it's a Quigley.

If it truly has only 65k, might be worth investigating further, but $13k is still high for a 7.3 idi. That being said, I've seen similar vans with the 460 going for nearly this much. Do you know if a turbo was added?

Funny, the high bid was 12,400. Might have been a deadbeat bidder. Zero bids ATM with a start of 2k.

Personally, I agree with draaronr. 9k at best.

It was pointed out in the Fullsize forum, where the OP also posted about this, that it was for sale in the Auto Trader for $6,500 in the past year. Was suggested that the new post is a possible flip. If it sold for $6,500 in the past 12 months I wouldn't expect to pay more than that now if nothing was done to the van since.

I bought basically the same van in a 94 cargo (newer body style) a years back for less than half that. Keep searching there out there!
