The wee output spigot/nipple on my DEF tank pump has snapped off. Went to Mercedes (Fuso) - they don't sell the pump on it's own now, only the pump and tank together. £1990!!

I found one at a truck breakers for £250 but that had 100K miles on it - my truck's only done 12K.

Luckily online I found a company (XeMODex) in Canada, who makes a repair kit for £100 incl. shipping to the UK. Ordered. Phew!

Well, that definitely sucks, but if I am honest, I am not all that surprised.
Happy to hear you found a not so psychotic solution to the problem.

The thing that undoubtedly pisses off the most about my truck is the cost of spare parts, which are normally 2 to 3 times the cost of a similar Isuzu part.

Some years back I discovered that the gearbox breather grommet was cracked, so I contacted my local dealer who informed me that the part was available and that it cost $115.00.
This part is just a piece of 8mm pipe with a 90 degree bend in it and a rubber grommet to secure it in the casting. What a rip off.

I'll fabricate a guard around it (maybe checkerplate ? ) as it is in a precarious place and I dare say got bashed at some point.
