Outdoor Adventure USA Net - IRLP

For about 3 years now Outdoor Adventure USA (www.oausa.net) has been holding amateur radio nets on off-road related topics in the Southern California area. We use the Keller Peak, 148.385+, PL-146.2, Echolink KE6TZG) which covers most of the greater LA area, and Inland Empire Area. It also reaches pretty far south into Temecula.

Since we got started we have been trying to get IRLP up and going. We have finally got it nailed. Thanks to donations and technical support from OAUSA members, we have the repeater IRLP equipped. We have secured Node# 9251 on the Western Reflector for our nets.

We are now accessible nearly world wide, and we would like to invite all amateur operators to join us. Since we started our weekly net its popularity has grown immensely. We average about 30+ check-ins per net. Now with IRLP capability we hope to broaden our audience (participation) even further.

Just logged off Echolink from the net tonight. It was pretty good, 30 minutes of check ins :Wow1: but a lot of good ideas and info. Thanks for putting the word out on this.
