I have a small skamper pop up truck camper that i use mostly for day trips to the beach. I am trying to think of a cool way i can mount my portable Nexgrill BBQ to the outside. Has anyone made a shelf or outdoor kitchen for the side or back of their camper?

I was thinking of maybe a mounted shelf that folded down to hold the BBQ and maybe had a cutting board to one side. any thoughts???

I am probably over complicating this but the BBQ and tank take up quite a bit of space inside the camper when I am traveling and I want to keep the BBQ propane independent from the Campers stove propane system

Kinda-sorta. Check out my build thread in my signature, post #36 and you'll see what I rigged up. Might be close to what you want. I have also seen hitch mounted grills of many shapes and sizes by doing a google image search for 'hitch mount bbq grill'. Here's a shortcut to that search to save you effort - gotta love the internet!

And they stink, too. I'm with you on that thing living outside.

My Jayco came with a Thule track mount next to the outdoor kitchen, and a propane grill that mates to it. There's a propane line run right underneath the mount. Thule stuff tends to be a little bit spendy, but it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

I've never even opened the grill box so I can't say how well it works.
