Oyaji's 87 FJ60

I've lurked here for a while but have never said much about the rigs I own/drive. This is probably because I never had anything worthy of mentioning, but I'm finally getting there. I've owned it for 5 months and made the following modifications. There's nothing original in my list, but I'm happy with what's been done to this point.

1999 5.7 Vortec - Custom Cruisers, Gilroy, CA
OME Heavy/Heavy Lift
33X12.5 X-Terrains
Custom Rocker Protection - Lavender Bros, Seaside, CA
Dual Stick T-case - Valley Hybrids, Stockton, CA
WagonGear Tailgate Storage
TLC S/S Brake Lines
Custom Dual Battery System - Under supervision of Custom Cruisers
FTM-350 Radio
VX-7 Handheld Radio
Handset contained CB Radio
Alpine Audio System
Roof Basket with Thule Kayak carriers
ARB Fridge - IPOR
ARB Bumper - IPOR

I still have a Warn 8274, VIAIR OBA kit, rear bumper kit and CO2 tank to install. There are also some things I'd still like to do with the interior, but these probably won't be for a while.

There are a lot of things associated/required with some of these modifications, as you all know. The way I did things is probably different than the way others did. I've got a lot of pictures from doing these modifications, so if you have want any info/pics of anything on the list, I'll be glad to answer/show what I can. Thanks for reading!

Haha...stunning isn't the word I'd use. The paint is crap, but there's no real rust to speak of. I need to investigate a spot at the corner of my windshield, but other than that, there's nothing to worry about regarding corrosion. Thanks for the compliment, though!

Dan, no videos...only lots and lots of pics. The thing is very mellow/quiet at cruise speed and idle but sounds pretty aggressive when I'm in the throttle. I went' with a 2 to 1 Magnaflow muffler after the factory cats. All the smog equipment is on it, and it runs beautifully...now. It cost me about $1000 in new GM parts to get the ignition/fuel delivery up to par once I had it running. The thing stranded me on the way to school once and nearly stranded me, with my wife and kid, on the highway one day. I think I've got the problem licked, now, though, so I'm starting to be a little more trusting in its reliability.

I'm not too concerned about the cosmetics of this rig as it is my daily driver and recreation rig. If I get it looking too good, I'll only be hacked off when I scratch it up! Pure function is what I'm shooting for.

Thanks for the comments!
