In preperation for an upcoming trip to Canyonlands/White Rim (which I had to postpone for a few months) I've been purchasing various equipment and posting pics with a 1st look review.
Here I submit the Ozark Trails Shower Utility Room/Shelter $37 online

It comes neatly packed

A corner of the shelter can be opened to put a shower hose through.

Ordered mine last week, should be here soon. I'll be testing mine out for 7 days in Big Bend. Hard to go past when they are $37 shipped from Walmart.

I just returned from a weekend camping trip and brought my Ozark Trails shower enclosure. This enclosure sets up quickly and easily. I have a hybred bug sprayer shower sprayer and it works great. I like mine and reccomend it to others.

I use the same tent for a shower also. I place a small tarp under neath it with about 2 1/2 foot at the front door to have a dry spot to put clothes while in shower.
For the shower head I use this

Doesn't work that great on the 8 C cell batteries so I back the FJ up to the door and plug it into a rear 12v outlet.
I store the shower head & hose in a bucket that is used for the shower, I boil water and make a 75/25 mix of boiling water and cold water for the shower.
A shower at the end of the day while camping sure is nice, keeps the sheets clean in the tent.

Cool little setup..

Not sure how close your trip on White Rim is, but there's a wee little problem running the entire thing right now..

I already postponed the trip twice in the last 2 months, and now it looks like the next chance I get to run white rim will be in May 2011. I already spoke to to the rangers at Canyolands and they said the road will be out for more than a year.

yeah that is a pretty serious road washout, and ive seen some doozies inthe back roads of BC short of filling it in with concrete they will need to fix that with a modular bridge system... sure would suck to be trapped at the bottom if that happend. is there a 2ndary route out or would your truck be stuck for a year +?

I'm not exactly sure where that is along the way but I gather it's somewhere near the "front end"..

My understanding is that it's a staging area for bicyclists and is at the end of the a 100 mile loop. There's reports that at least 6 vehicles are stranded below there.. So the way out for those vehicles is the 110 mile trip to Potash Road. The only one that is up to the trip is a Rubicon that belongs to a local rental company. The rest are 2wd vehicles..

This give a bit better idea of how bad the washout is.. That'd be a whole lotta backfilling with concrete..

"Front end" would be dependent on which way you come into White Rim Rd.
Most common being Shaffer trail in the East. Then theres Mineral Rd from the west. The washout is at Mineral bottom switchbacks on the western end.
If the vehicles are stranded north of the switchbacks they should be able to drive out on Mineral Road without issue. If they are stranded south of the switchbacks they would have to drive the 90 or so miles out to Shaffer trail/Potash Rd
I recall reading trip reports of 2 wheel drives doing White Rim without a problem, then again I'm sure they weren't compacts either.
According to Park Rangers, Labyrinth Camp ground is closed for as long as the road is closed.

That's incredible! The White Rim Trail washed out because of the Ozark Trail Camp Shower enclosure!? :Wow1:

Glad I checked this out on the Camping Equipment Thread - that's important to know!
