I know that mounting with out an air gap reduces efficiency. My bigger concern for my planned set up is the heat. How hot will a panel get? I am planning on attaching a 100w flexible panel to the top of my hard shell RTT. In my research I ran across a panel review that complained about a panel getting hot enough to discolor the fiberglass it was mounted to. My tent shell is ABS so excessive heat could cause some issues. Can anybody here speak to this concern?
