Not sure on the difference between the 1650 and the 1654 but it may be worth a look.

The only difference between the 1654 and the 1650 is tha the 1654 features an additional padded compartment devider. great for camera gear.

They will also do better still for multiple buys, last yeat I got 3 1600,s for $98ea including foam.

I bought a 1650 used off eBay several years ago- it has a removable bag with dividers inside of it. I want to say I paid just under $100 for it with a couple of scratches on it.
I bought it to carry my gear on my boat but since I sold the boat I had been thinking about selling the case- let me think about it and I may sell it. I've been trying to pare down the camera gear too since I don't seem to use most of it anymore.
