Photography Addiction?

Hi my name is steven, and i am a camera-oholic.

people warned me before i bought my first slr that once i owned it, i would always be looking at more lenses to add to my arsenal. well, this is the latest present the man-in-brown delivered.

its a sigma 120-300 f/2.8 lens (picture shown mounted to my nikon d300)

now i just need to find time to get out in the woods to play with it.

(please forgive the poor quality of this photograph, i had to use a co-workers point and shoot :) )

Been considering replacing my Canon 70-200 f/4 L with that very lens ... look forward to reading how you like it and seeing sample shots. The 70-200 is a stellar lens, so it's hard to justify parting with it just for an extra stop and a bit more reach. But my Sigma 150mm f/2.8 Macro is also tack sharp with outstanding IQ, so if that's any indication of how the 120-300 f/2.8 performs then I shouldn't miss the 70-200 much. :)

so i took the lens out for the first time EARLY this morning. i had to get some photos of the arb tent mounted on a tacoma, so i used my new lens.
