Picked this beauty up today. Great shape and not a whole lot of mile on it. Can't wait to take it on a camping trip this spring and hopefully do a little bit of overloading for the first time!.

One heck of a first truck. LOLz.

Congrats. I just love the way those tear up old gravel country roads while still riding smooth.

Very Cool! I have one of these for work that I drive and abuse everyday. It has been passed around like a bar fly and driven about the same. Several guys at work have told me about it being air born, taken up over 100mph down a desert washes etc. Currently it has over 180k miles and with all that abuse, still runs perfect! You will get a lot great use from that rig. Currently it has 315's on it, no lift and the computer says I get 11.4 MPG average. It is often up over 100MPH on the freeway and rarely under 75 so you can expect to better. If I could afford one, I would own one. I am sold on these things!

Sort of, it was purchased for work along some border communities but now used primarily street since the miles are so high. I know the Border Patrol has a few of them as well and they love them. Nothing gets more abuse than their vehicles.

I have driven it to work about 30 miles away for the last couple of days and have been getting 17MPG according to the computer. I admit I have definitely been babying it so far though, This morning I did take it on a couple of washed out dirt roads and it felt super smooth. Will definitely push it harder once I get more comfortable in it.

Make sure you go through the manual and learn how to put it into 4x mode, lock the rear axle, and shut off traction control and anti-lock brakes. Makes a huge difference on how it behaves off road, changes transmission shift points, and overall works better. Traction control will take away almost all power when in the sand. Enjoy. There are not any enhancements you have to do to that vehicle to make it off road worthy.

I have enjoyed mine for seven years now. It has never seen 17 MPG. But, i don't drive it for mileage, I drive it for fun. Lots and lots of fun.

Have fun with it.
