Plumbing question- water filter placement

I picked up a Clearsource water filter to use in my build and I’m trying to determine the best placement for the filter in my system. I’ve seen some plumbing diagrams where the filter is placed right under the sink faucet which makes sense for drinking water I guess. My question is, why not place the filter in front of the water tank at the fill port? I’m a terrible plumber so maybe I‘m missing something here. Thanks for any advice.

I don’t know for positive but I feel like the filter would be too slow if you put it before your tank. but I have seen people put filters on the end of the hose as you fill the tank. So I guess it probably depends on the filter or filters.

I'm too late, another good reason is access to change filters and maintenance, place it close to the faucet.
