Polaris 60 quart cooler review

Well after getting some use out of my Polaris 60 quart cooler on two trips over the last month. Figured I'd give a quick review as I have not seen these used here.

Looks and feels every bit as nice as the Yeti's I've seen around. Hinges feel beefy and there is no slop. There are some nice rubber feet to keep it from sliding around. And stayed put on the laminate floor of my camper. I wish the latches included a locking feature. But some how it is still a bear proof rated cooler. Best feature I like on the Polaris coolers that I have not seen on others. Actual tie down slots that you can slip a strap through instead of up and over with the possibility of it slipping off.

It was not as expensive as the comparable Yeti Tundra 65 @ $399.99. But not cheap ether like the Walmart cooler that's all the rage now. The Polaris 60 quart ran $299.99.

So far I'm impressed with it and look forward to using it in the future.

Ice usage during my trips.

Trip #1 WI to NC, 7 days, used for food and beer (opened often). Started with 2 blocks which shrunk say 60% by the end of the week. Half way through 10lb bag was added but eventually melted.

Trip #2 WI to norther MN, 5 days, used for food only and rarely opened. Filled with three blocks of ice with fit great. And left enough room for food for three people. Following pics are the aftermath. Lost most of one block but the others were in pretty good shape.
