A few days ago I was pulling parts for another project I am working on and found a cool pop top that I had not seen before. I wanted to share this so other would know they are out there if you happen to find an older model pop top van for sale. I removed the one I found and it is for sale in the classified vehicle parts section of the forum.
The top is like a larger version of a Westfalia pop top. The front is permanently mounted and has a cargo storage space in it. The back half of the pop top pops strait up to create an 8 foot by 45 inch interior space that raises the roof about 29 inches. I has a sleeping platform in the top that can be folded up to open the ceiling up, although this could be reconfigured to fit your purposes. The top was removed from a Dodge Sportsman van that was fitted with it in 1978 by Spirit Campers.
I think this is a great piece for anyone who want to add a pop top to their van. I added some pictures for reference.
