Power Steering Pump - Leak

So I was cleaning under the hood the other day and noticed my power steering pump is leaking. There is fluid sprayed up on the under side of the hood, as well as everywhere surrounding it. After a quick search it looks like it is a fairly common problem for 1st gen tacomas? I just bought a rebuild kit, but was wondering if anyone one else runs a fluid cooler inline such as this for preventive measure?

My wife 02 tacoma had the same issue and it turned out to be a recall if my memory serves me right. A cooler will help it stay cool there for increasing the life of the system. I run one on my t100 but that's because i have hydo assist on it.
