Noted landscape photographer Michael Reichmann waxes enthusiastic about Canon's latest fixed lens super zoom camera, the GX3. Reichmann says the GX3 produces publication quality images, in a package that is much more portable (and considerably more affordable) than mid-range DSLRs.

In a companion article, Reichmann explains why long lenses are his choice for most landscape photography.

Wow that's a neat little camera, though I simply can't imaging rocking a 600mm lens on a daily basis. I typically shoot ultra wide, and carry a 16-35 on my camera. I own a 70-200, but rarely use it because of its size.
