Can you tell me how you painted your rims? I've seriously been considering doing the same thing on my suburban so I don't have to spend the money on new rims

Sprayed degreaser on it sprayed 2 coats of flat black and 3 coats of gloss black. Came out nice. Bubbled a little so i rescuffed it and resprayed it again.

Its out skyliner road a ways. Take it up and then watch for usf 300. Take that all the way back. That day we went all the way to tumalo falls on back trails, gorgeous scenery.

Anyone made onboard air out of the stock ac compressor? I wanna try it with the stock explorer pump. Keep it at 120-150 psi. It'd be very useful in airing up tires and such. Thoughts? Links?

Also i'm interested in a wilderness tire carrier. It'd hold a full size spare, shovel, axe, 2 jerry cans, and my high lift. Anyone got tips for the spindle and latch?

FWIW my 91 exploder (5spd, manual t-case, manual hubs from factory) got 15-18 mpg, I think. Stock tires too.

Loved the 4.0 engine, had some pep that's for sure.

ya mine will get better when i regear. 3.55s and 33's aren't nice to each other

Why so much lift on an expo rig? Isn't it just more to break? What is your reasoning etc? Very interested in your build keeping a close eye on here for when you start your storage build.

35" tires down the road. With the interference point being the Master Cylinder and cab floor, it takes more lift to run over a 33" tire.

Yeah i didn't like it but i decided that its fine for when i go up in size. That and it doesn't have all that much travel so more ground clearance was needed.
